Yes they grow back, I'm not sure with tail feathers but I know wing feathers take around 2 months.

They'll grow back before molt. I have a juvenile male that lost every tail feather and a month later this is the result. He was the wildest of the juvenile males I have, and tried to bolt out of his pen. I grabbed his tail without thinking to keep him from getting outside and pulled them out. It was unfortunate, but these things happen. Since then I have spent extra time with him, feeding him treats etc., and now he is much tamer. This is about one months growth in the photo ...

He is a Red Golden male. He isn't old enough to have all his colors yet. It takes 1.5 to 2 years for them to have all the adult feathers and be bright & pretty [IMG]
