Feed trough with section?

I was thinking of building a feed trough for my chickies that has a section for grit, a section for food, and a section for oyster shell. Does this make since? Is it wasted space. The knock over their feeder, even when almost full. I hate it!

Ya, that is what I need to do but just for the oyster shell & grit. They always seem to poop in it where I have it....GRRRRR! What a waste
