Feeding 8 week old chicks layer crumbles?

I have a question as I am relatively new to chickens (1 year) and REALLY new to chicks.. (8 weeks)

I have run out of chick grower and am going into town tomorow to get some, but I wanted to know if it is bad to feed my 8 week olds layer crumbles for today?

I looked at the two bags, and everything seems to be about the same, except that layer crumbles has high calcium. Is this bad for the chicks? Do you think it will be ok for just today?

Just one day is fine, extended periods of time is not good for their internal organs. Best of luck.
