Feeding chickens beets??

    I know you can feed the chickens beets I read the treat chart...but..

    when we eat beets it will turn our pee and stool..red...will it have an affect on the eggs or the chickens poop?

    I gave my girls beets the other night not a lot just 3 - 4 between 10 hens...but its just one of these random questions that run through my mind on a really slow day...LOL

    If they eat enough of them it might change theirs too. Same as when they eat alot of green stuff. I wouldn't worry about it.
