FEEDING CHICKENS!! NEED ADVICE

WHAT IS THE BEST THING I CAN FEED MY CHICKENS TO KEEP THEM HEALTHY

How old are they? I feed 16% protein layer pellets purchased at the feed store. I also feed a mix scratch of seeds 1 cup a day or 1 cup of cracked corn. I also feed just about all table scraps from the dinner table.

I like to think my chickens are healthy, i buy wheat, oat, cracked corn and layer pellets and mix in a big bin, i also add some grit and oyster shells in there. every other day i give them black oil sunflower seeds and opposite of that day they get apples and hay. hope this helps

thanks that really helps, i have 2 that are 2 years old and 2 that are 8 or 9 mos old

Mine are just about 10 months,i have 17 hens and i average 14 eggs a day. I also let them out a couple hrs everyday weather permitting

someone gave me a bag of 16% crumble mash, i would have rather had the pellets but what is the best way to feed them this? just mix it with scratch grains??? i also have cracked corn
