How many bags of chick starter will 55 chicks go through???

I'd say about 5 bags of starter to get them to 8 weeks old. That's 4.5 pounds of feed per chick to 8 weeks.

It depends on breed (light or heavy) and how long you keep them on starter. If a heavy breed then add a pound per chick, which for you is another bag of starter.

ok there ganna be a bunch of banyard mixes. bantams and standards. ill pick up 3 bags for now and see how that does. and pick up more till i need more. i usully keep them on starter till there about 3 1/2 months of age and slowly change there feed
