feeding corn

does corn have a protien amount??
if i mix layer16% with corn how much does it drop protien level??
if i mix 2/3 layer with 1/3 corn

Corn is about 7 - 8% protein. If you mix them as you indicated, you would have about a 13% ration. This might be OK for birds that are not laying, but if they are laying, stick with the mash as their sole feed source. You could also feed some cat food to increase their protein, and it's quite well balanced for it's amino acid profile. It's also a great source of fat, and you don't need to feed much at all.
