Feeding for meat vs eggs

What is the difference between a meat birds diet and an egg layers diet? Samples of both would be greatly appreciated.

mostly meat bird diets are consisting of trying to get the chickens more plump and better for eating. Egg hens are usually fed more calcium and protein so they can lay larger and stronger eggs.

I will have an Australorp flock. From what I've read they are about 8-9 lbs and they are a dual purpose bird. Would it be okay to feed both the egg layers and meat birds the same diet? If not, what should the meat birds get that the egg layers won't?
