Made lunch from leftover chicken last night (roasted a whole chicken) and had my son clean up. He has a bright idea to give the chicken carcass to our girls.
[IMG] he comes running back in to tell me that they are devouring it and really seem to enjoy it [IMG]
Well I have to go and check myself and sure enough they had pretty much picked it cleaned. A few were still chasing each other around for the last few crumbs. Even the 7 week old babies were scarfing it up.

One more thing to add to the chicken feed list.

You should see them go after a turkey carcass. [IMG]

But, didn't mad cow disease come from cows being feed cows? It just doesn't seem healthy to feed chickens chicken.

Quote:Chickens are great scavengers and would not hesitate to eat a deceased chicken: cooked or not.
