Feeding garden scraps amidst HPAI (in my county)

Hello! Curious if anyone has done research on sanitizing prior to feeding scraps. From what I’ve read (and as any disease tends to work), there’s a scale of upper and lower temp thresholds plus time to disinfect. But I’d love to see if anyone has found research around washing practices alongside temps. I’d love to be tossing the girls stuff from the garden, but we’re in a “surveillance zone” in our county (within 6m of an active case) and I won’t risk it without confidence. Thanks!

since HPAI is spread mainly by poop from waterfowl, a simple wash in plain water to remove any bird poop from your garden harvest, and chucking any with stubborn poop, should be fine. Feeding them sanitizer residue is almost certainly more harmful.
