Hi all!!!! I have a rooster and 3 hens. It hit me the other day that my Rooster probably shouldn’t be eating layer food as it’s not designed for him. I was correct but now I’m stuck.
What can I feed them all? They live in the same large coop/run and all eat freely. What can I feed them where he gets what he needs and they get what they need? I have oyster shells out for them as well but they don’t seem to eat them. Maybe there is a brand of shell you can recommend as well!!! Thanks in advance. Pic for attention. Lol.

All Flock, Flock Raiser or chick starter are all good with oyster shell on the side. If you start seeing soft shelled eggs, try mixing a handful of oyster shell with Greek yogurt and feed that to them every three days or so. Then put a small gob of yogurt in the OS container to draw attention to it.

Thanks!!! Any particular feed you like? We’ve been giving them Dumor Organic their entire lives. Didnt know if there is a better one. They’ve also been on crumble all of their 23 weeks and we are considering moving them to pellets.
