    Hi All,

I haven't been around chickens since I was a kid and am leaning so much here. Can I feed raw oats to my girls? I have some leftover organic steel cut oats from a dish I made and thought of them.
They are doing great and I will try to get some better pics tonight. They will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. Currently resting under tree in back yard and getting more adventurous now that I literally kicked them out of the coop so I could clean. I have seen a tiny amount of feather picking and runny poop, but everyone is eating and drinking well. They even have their own personal dust bath by the coop complete with DE to help with any external bugs. If it's ok I will give them the oats as a scratch treat in the yard or cook them for feed.

    Thanks All

Mine will eat oats right off the stalk. I can't see why they couldn't eat the steel cut raw or cooked.
