Feels like a chicken coop building kind of weekend!

The chicks are ready to move to their forever home...however we're very behind due to weather. Looks like we will be building for 3 days straight now with 4 people!! Here's what we have to date with the exception of a few things we've done since these photos. Can't wait to see it all finished...will post new progress pics!

I like the old farmhouse door!
Thanks!!! it's one of the original doors from our home! We bought an old farmhouse a year and a half ago that had all kinds of gems to be used on the coop in the basement. our house was built in the late 1800's :) I thought it would be a nice touch!

My concern is the gaps. Not because of cold but if any are an inch wide, mink and weasels can gain entry.
oh there are a lot of layers to go yet! We are going to use straw as part of the insulation, a vapor barrier, siding on the outside and plywood on the inside. I am very protective of my girls...there will be NO gaps when im finished!!!
