Female duck dilemma!

Hi duckie friends!
I have convinced hubby to order more females. We have a small following for duck eggs. For females, we have 3 Khaki's, 2 Welsh Harlequins, a pekin and muskovy (later 2 are 4 YO). I am looking at Ancona, Cayuga (the straight run last yr netted 2 drakes), Silver Appleyard and Fawn Runner. I plan to get 2 of each, which ever I end with and plan to get 6 more. Any thoughts? I was leaning to Ancona, Silver and Cayuga; then read Silver and Welsh are quite similar (difference in $$ - Silver are more). Runners are more skittish. I am raising them for fun and eggs.

I used to have a whole flock of runners. I hatched them out myself and they were bonded to me. Followed me around everywhere!

thanks for your input. I think ducks are like chips. can't have just a few . And I like to have a variety of breeds as they all have such personalities

I Would look into Buff Orpingtons Med dual purpose bird..broody and great momma's..
