I just had a customer quit her egg order as she learned that there is a good chance the eggs are fertile. She claims that it has to do with eating embryos. How would you reply if at all?

If she'd expressed fear of finding a half grown chick, I'd explain. But if it's the idea of an embryo, I wouldn't reply, personally.

Sometimes you can't fix stupid. You may try to explain that there is no embryo unless the egg is incubated.
At Trader Joes and Whole Foods, people pay more for fertile eggs.

It must be a lacto-ovo vegetarian thing with your customer.
