I have 4 mature hens that lay eggs everyday. I have many younger roosters, but one is a little more mature than the others, and i see him mate on the hens frequently. How do i tell which eggs to leave in the nesting box and which ones to take?

Unless they are acting broody or like they are covering the eggs, pick them up and use or incubate [IMG]

Incubate all of them? Or just incubate some?

Quote:If you are putting them in a bator. I'd candle them on day 10 and day 18 and toss them. I'm imagining that of the 102 I have in three different bators (mine and two friends) I think I'll only have 60 left after day 10 because my roos are young and unexperienced.
