I've just gotten my first bag of Fertrell Nutri-balancer. Have you used it? It's an organic vitamin and mineral supplement.
I have been feeding my chickens Layena pellets and scratch and stuff from the compost pile. The Fertrell is looks like ground pepper. This morning I poured Layena into the feeders/troughs with the Fertrell mixed in. They ate all the Layena first and then they pecked and pecked at the Fertrell (it smells like fish) until they got most of it thank goodness, but there is still a fine dust of it left in the trough.
Any ideas how I can serve this to them and have it be consumed more easily and thuroughly?
