FFA auction of poultry and non animate poultry related items will be held as usual on the Sunday following close of the Topsfield Fair. October 15th is this years sale date.
Items for sale are received beginning at 9am with the auction scheduled to begin at noon.
Sellers receive 75% and FFA receives 25 % of selling price.
There is no buyers premium added to the selling price - what you bid is what you pay.
Funds are used to send qualified FFA students to the FFA National convention in Indianapolis. Chickens turkeys and guinea fowl must be NPIP blood tested to qualify for sale. Waterfowl are exempt from testing as are pigeons.
Baby chicks by the two dozens are sold straight run from the birds hatched at the Fair which ends on Columbus day. So if you are looking for that special bird, are culling your flock for winter, or are looking to buy next years layer hens as baby chicks, don't miss this years sale.
