can you place field shelters out and what will they look like. i was thinking covered like slightly taller than a chickenz for areal attacks. but in the wild how do these critters take shelter. i know they used to take to trees.. any help will be appreciated [IMG]

I remember reading on here some people use 2 wooden pallets and set them up into an "A" frame, so the chickens can run under them if they spot an arial predator. I would assume you would do the same thing with branches, etc (Lean-to or A frame design)

our yards fenced in with large trees outside the fencing. there are some hiding spots for my chickens, but if they are out in the middle of the yard, they are in a open field. so i built a shelter, funny thing, i have yet to see my chickens need it for cover, but knowing its there is comforting!
