A friend, with a bit of knowledge with birds, told me this guy is a fighting rooster...any other opinions?
He is a 19 week old EE...(or so I thought!)

He is definately a cross, but to me he looks alot like a red jungle fowl rooster I used to own, mine was pure though. I was told that many red jungle fowl are used for fighting. Anyhow I don't support bird fighting so I don't really pay attention to those that are used for fighting. I would think that any bird could be a fighter, but some are just more desireable than others. I assume that this is not what you are planning to do with him. Very pretty bird [IMG]

Quote:absolutely not! No....I got him from a local hatchery...(term used loosely mind you...) she sold me 3 that were EE...all 3 are roos...this one I actually thought was a pullet till he started to crow and is now my dominant roo. He takes good care of the girls so far, at 19 weeks, still young, but so far so good!

He's not a full blooded game or anything, IMHO. He is some type of cross. Maybe a Golden Sebright cross?
