Fighting Toms

I have two toms that are going at it.
Do you normally seperate them. I just got them last week.
They were in pen togather when i got them.
They seemed ok. For a week they have been ok. Today they have beat
each other up. BLOOD everywhere.

seperate them now. they will kill each other. do you have any hens? if so there may not be enough! sounds like they are competing with each other.

yeah you want to not keep them in an enclosed pen together when they are fighting as one or both will die, if the loser can't retreat from the victor. The victor will wind up killing the loser or both get hurt so bad they both die. Give them a week or so they will get it figuered out.

The pen is 20 x 40. Where they are do i still need to seperate

Sounds like there was a dominate gobbler where they came from and now they have realized the boss is no longer around so they are trying to decide who will rule the barnyard at their new home.
