Good morning everyone, I have a few bantam chicks that just hatched. One of them had difficulties coming out of the shell and has some film from the egg on it back. Will that film come out or do I have to remove it? The chick is fine and moving but it looks like a turtle. Any advice would be nice.
Thank you!

Are you talking about the membrane? It may have been shrink wrapped in the membrane dried to the chick. Gently use a wet cotton ball or Q-tip to moisten and loosen the membrane. Carefully peel the membrane from the chick. Make sure you aren't taking skin and feathers off. If plain water isn't working add hydrogen peroxide to the water in a half-and-half solution.
