This is our first year with our 16 ladies and my husband has installed a 8' stock stank (almost ground level) for swimming. You know they love it better then the kiddy pools because they can dive under the water too. Of course, with 16 ducks there is a lot of duck muck. :)

Right now we have a 3 barrel system. Sump pump pulls water into the first barrel which is the mechanical one (which has industrial size floor scrubbing pads and bio balls). That barrel flows to the second barrel which has more bio balls and mesh bath scrunches. This flows down to the third barrel which has lava rocks and then it flows back into the pond/stock tank. This should be a good set up, however, we still have a lot of muck. Thought is just too many ducks for one 8' tank? Does anyone else have any ideas? Would be open to any help.

It is good to have you here!

Check the articles along with the Duck forum for help. Link to the learning center is above. There is a section under articles for feeder and water systems.

Hi and welcome to BYC :frow we're so happy you've joined us:ya You might also want to do some searches on aquaponics spin down filters or solids filters. It looks like a cone on the bottom with a bottom drain for solids and water is moved from above the solids. It's generally the first in the series. Sorry, I din't find a good link.
