Finally....Doodlebug laid an egg this season....

Hi S.E. I'm not really sure. The weather has been a bit warmer then normal. We had some cooler weather too, up and down...so that may play a.factor. I've not been out as much with them due to surgeries..... So haven't observed as much as normal.....

If you are having as crazy weather in Florida as we are here in Eastern Pennsylvania. I know our chickens are just now getting back into cycle and I feel the weather is to blame. I suspect that this weather related and would affect more than chickens, Emu's are trying to follow natural instincts and if the weather is a trigger, then that might explain the delay's in egg laying this year. kerry

Congrats on the eggs. Looking forward to put them in my incubator - - hint hint

Hi Yoda hope egg has arrived, it needs resting for 24 hours in normal room temperature, before incubating, turning 3 x in meantime, in case any airbubbles, or it may not hatch, just in case you don't know.
Sadly we can't candle this eggs, unlike any other eggs.
