I am so excited to have finally found some local royal purple guineas! After asking so many people and probably being a general pest (thanks to everyone who was so helpful, several of which were on BYC), I found some that are about 6 months old and only 16 miles away. Going to look after work... keep y'alls fingers crossed for me!

Congratulations! Only 16 miles away, huh? How come I never get so lucky!? How many are you getting?

Oh the disappointment! He thought I said pearl not purple. I had to buy consolidation chickens to soothe myself. 2 Welsummer and 2 Speckled Sussex pullets. He was super nice, showed us his whole farm- cows, newborn lamb, sheep, goats, turkeys, just no purple guineas. Guess I'm back to waiting for keets to be born. He did offer to order some purple guineas and sell me some but I think I'm holding out for local if I can.

I will be hatching out Royal Purples in NC (Liberty) as soon as my hens start laying. I know it's not local to you, but I'm just letting you know in case you ever get up this way. I can sell you some eggs or keets but would need to get an order in....my list fills up fast. I don't ship outside NC at this time, though.
