i have been working as a sustainable & natural food chef for most of my 15 year career. i have finally found a place with enough room to add 4 laying hens & 2 ancona ducks - for eggs - to my property. VERY exciting. i have 2 young boys & think it is important, especially today, for kids to have a connection to their food. we take so much for granted today & many people have lost the pride in DOING. i, love DOING, and look forward to all my years of research & working with OTHER people's animals & farms & applying it to my little plot. but, my word, it is scary. all things worth doing are a bit frightening, i know, and so i begin, awfully glad there are so many of you here to relate your wisdom.
