I just heard peeping from the hatching incubator and here is what I found. One of the Bourbon Red eggs I got from Steve had just hatched a day early. So far so good he/she is waddling all around the incubator.

    Thanks Steve. [IMG]

    Please..please..please be a hen. [IMG]

    Congratulations on your new hatch!

Mind if I ask a couple of questions? What type of 'bator did you use? What was your humidity? Did you increase it for hatching and if so how much and at what day?

Thanks for your help... I hope to hatch out some turkey eggs sometime soon.

I got a week to go on my Midget Whites from Steve... tick tock tick tock! I chickened out and had a friend incubate them for me in her Sportsman. I figured sharing a clutch was better than a whole poult to myself! LOL

I just put some Bourbon Red eggs in my still air hovabator yesterday.... good to see that it can be done!

    Congratulations!!!

Quote:Thank ya. I have 2 still air model Little Giants. One has automatic turner and one has no turner as I use it to hold eggs 3 days before they hatch when turning is to stop. I like to keep my Humidity at 50% and bump it to 60% during the hatch. I find that placing a wet folded washcloth under
one of the vent holes will usaually give the desired boost in humidity.

I just checked in and the little guy/gal is moving right along unzipping that eggshell. [IMG]
