I am new to raising chickens and want my birds to like me. I know crazy lady here! I have had my girls for about two weeks now and finally got a few to eat out of my hand and let me pet them. I am so excited it’s crazy. They always run over to me when I visit them and talk to them so I guess it was just a matter of time.

What breed(s) do you have? Different chickens are varying levels of friendliness/cuddliness.

Don't feel crazy, we're all crazy chicken people so your in the right place. Chickens are social. Some may not be though. The older they get, they will become more independent but can still be social. Sometimes the only intelligent conversation is with my chickens.:lau:highfive:
