I have to admit, I was getting a little jealous of all the first egg announcements, but it finally happened today!!! Wondering who laid it; I’m terrible on breed names, but I think it’s either “Shire” (black and white) or Snowy (I’m sure that’s self explanatory, lol).

Congratulations! I got my first egg from my pullets Monday 1 day shy of them being 21 weeks. Got a total of 4 out of 5 days. Not sure if it's 1 pullet or more, as several look like they could be laying. I think I jinxed myself telling everyone my pullets always laid by 20 weeks, so these girls made me wait!

Thanks, I've actually ween check them the last 2-3 weeks. The white (Snowy) was nearly 3 fingers and black/white (Shire) a little over 2 just the other day, but I'm curious of who actually layed the egg because Shire had a larger and brighter comb.
Might have to 'catch them in the act' to be sure.
