I bought my young Serama trio 2 weeks ago and bought 11 eggs too, all she had. Some were older than others, so I knew it was a risk. I candled last night and it looks like I have 6 babies!!! I'm so excited. I can't imagine how tiny these babies will be. My Barred Bantam Cochin babies are scary tiny (to me) and these eggs are 1/3 the size of my Bantam Cochin eggs! Yikes!!

We've been keeping our babies in for a few days and then putting them in the outside brooder box (multi-tiered cabinet type) in the barn. The temps were in the 70 last Saturday and the high was in the high 30's yesterday [IMG] The babies are warm & happy. I just CANNOT see any tiny Serama babies going outside anytime soon~LOL

Awww congrats on the seramas and the eggs! The babies will be about the size of a quarter when they hatch, super duper tiny!
Sending good hatch vibes your way [IMG]

Thanks everyone [IMG] I'm so nervous. I'm putting them on Lockdown tomorrow, just in case.

LOL, I might take you up on that [IMG] Do you have any hatching hints for these little bitties? How about hatching in the egg carton that they have been in for incubation or do I need to lay them down? I wasn't this nervous delivering my last child...with no meds with a midwife!~LOL

I really wish I had some advice! Im not the most expert with the incubator.
Mine always is "get a broody!" [IMG]
I hand turn them for 16 days, and just leave them alone.
The only think I do different it when they pip I use a syringe sometimes to put in a drop of food coloring before they hatch if Im going to be gone. That way I can tell who-is-who when I can get home.

Let us know how it goes!! Im excited for you!! [IMG]
