Finn's thread!! Puppy is GROWING!!!

Update- checked with my mom and he's actually like 18-20 pounds, but he's still pretty big!!

My dog was that weight when he was SIX months! Finn is no doubt going to be huge, probably 70 some pounds when he grows up.

Yay! Border collies are awesome!

They're so great but that. energy. I couldn't.

The border collie. The husky was about the same weight as Finn when she was Finn's age too. The mix breed was about 3 pounds. She was soooo tiny.

Yeah, they are super energetic. Probably will need walks every day. They are great beginner dogs if you can handle the energy. Border collies are the world's smartest dog breed, so they're easy to train and very obedient!

Agreed. They help keep you motivated to excercise though.

Border Collies are super smart, true, and beyond energetic. They need gainful employment, and serious daily exercise, or you will be driven crazy. A bored BC will find things to do, not good.
Having a farm and sheep would be good...

My parents have a flock of sheep, but we don't worry about predators with them. It's only the chickens that need protection. I don't think I could do a border collie, based on what you guys are saying about their energy. Are there any dogs that will defend your birds against aerial predators?
