I am not new to chickens, we raised chickens for OK Foods when I was a kid but I am new to having my own coop in my backyard which is totally different. Currently we 3 chicks Hopper 8-10 weeks old, Tiny 8-10weeks old, and Miles 6-8 weeks old, and that is all we will have and unfortunately I don't know what breed they are I just know that they are pullets. I found out about BackYardChickens.com through googling different things about their care. I love being outdoors, fishing, hiking, etc. unfortunately it is hard for me to do the things I love cause I have recently become legally blind but I do get to get out and do those things when my kids are with me they are such a big help. I have a very supportive family when it comes to keeping me active and not being cooped up in the house. I have two service dogs my dog who is retiring soon is Honda who is 8 yrs she is so amazing and then I have Civic who is 7 months and is training so Honda can just stay home and relax. I know it says no donations or charity but I am looking for help when it comes to a chicken coop, I don't make a lot of money with social security and I can't build on my own cause it is to dangerous with my low vision so if anyone could help that would be so helpful and appreciated. I went to puck up a chicken house but because I would have to take it apart they wouldn't sell it to me and was told to sell the chickens but I will not do that cause they were gotten for my 10 yr old and 8 yr old and they would rather have the chickens than the money. So please if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it so much.

This is where they are currently at and are happy right now but I know they will need to be put in the coop shortly cause the oldest two Hopper and Tiny are 8-10 weeks old.

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. It may be worth checking free ad sites to see if anyone nearby wants to get rid of a garden shed - they make great coops.

    All the best

Maybe your church group will help you out with building, etc.
