I have three old english bantams that I got a few months ago, they are all roughly a year to a year and a half.
They haven't warmed up to me or my boyfriend yet, they don't like to be touched and usually run away from us.
Three days ago one of the bantams began sitting on eggs and didn't get off, and by the noises she made we knew she was broody.
I was very very excited because this was the first of our hens to sit on eggs.
My boyfriend said that we should take her and put her in a cage away from other hens because they were scaring her out the nest
and broke of the eggs she was sitting on. But I didn't think it was a good idea, because she's frightened easily and dosen't like to be touched.
We put her in around 7 pm and it is now 12 am, we haven't seen her sit on the eggs since.
Will she not sit on them now?
