I have my first time broody Mille Fleur d'Uccle... I just read where someone's hen was broody for 45 days and where someone else broke the broodyness by getting rid of the fake eggs they planted... I was wondering, since my little Fuggers seems to collect eggs under her everyday from the RSL girls, could I just move her down into my brooder for a couple days/weeks to see if that could break her from being broody? or would she still be broody without eggs? I really have no eggs to give her right now to hatch.. I've been working on getting some Serama hatching eggs for her but I dont know how thats coming along...

Yes, if you want to discourage her, take her away from access to nesting materials, and certainly away from a nest with eggs in it! I have one part d'Uccle hen who will happily sit on an eggless nest for 21 days. With her, I have to take away all nesting materials. Other of our hens will give up if they have no eggs to sit on.

It just depends on the individual.
