Hi everyone! These are the first chicks/chickens I've had in years and I'm super excited so I thought I'd share some pics! [IMG]

Those are my little Lavender Orpington chicks that I bought locally. Sadly one didn't make it but the other 4 are now 3 weeks old. I'm brooding them in the plastic tote we rigged up. I've got 16 more chicks coming from Meyer later this month so the hubs built the big brooder for the new arrivals. It's got heat lamps mounted under the top with individual switches. I love it! Hope y'all enjoy the pics! I couldn't figure out how to get them in the correct order lol. Maybe next time.

Well, he's game for sure and has some nice building skills.

Thanks! He's good about going along with whatever crazy venture I come up with lol. Plus it gives him a reason to "need" all the cool tools. I told him it was built so well we could probably brood calves in it!

I had to add that that is one heck of a brooder. Nice work. [IMG]
