Got 2 chickens Sunday. Hubby modified a rabbit hutch and built a chicken run. We started at 8:30am with a visit to Home Depot. We finished by putting the chickens in their new home at 8:30pm. Took a half hour break for lunch and 30 minutes to get kids from school. Not toobad by we were exhausted and in bed by 10pm.

I'm so jealous .. I wanna get started .. WAHHHHHH!

Ok, ok, the HOUSE comes first .. then the rabbit shed, THEN the chicken coop ..

Tick tock tick tock .. time moves too slowly!

BTW .. love your pen!

looks like it works and that's all that counts. you can allways go back and spend more if you like raising the birds. tough to go back and spend less.

Just washed the eggs. They are very pretty. No eggs so far today but then they didn't lay those 2 until around this time yesterday. Must be Lazy Cali chickens

Flopshot thats exactly why we did it this way. If it works out, then we can always build bigger/better. Just didn't want to spend a lot and it not work out for us.
