First Day Free Ranging

My little 9 week old chickies got to go out and free range for the first time today! I checked on them several times and they looked like old pros scratching in the brush and leaves. The older birds didn't bother them at all the the chicks put themselves to bed !!! I couldn't believe it. I knew they would put themselves to bed eventually but I was really impressed that it was on the first day. So cute!
