Well, my two little silkie kids are now 5 weeks old. It was nice and sunny yesterday so took them outside for the first time. i started by putting them in an empty aviary. They stood there, frozen, for a very long time.

So i took them out on the lawn. This is one very concerned little chicken.

Anyhow, they both stood on the lawn for a long time, kind of frozen. Every once in a while one of them would pick up a foot, or put their beak down by the grass. But it was definitely very traumatic for them. After a while i took them back inside. Maybe we can try again this afternoon.

    Aren't they cute, though?

I have some silkies at 5 weeks old that are no where near as feathered as yours!

    Cute!

[IMG] They do look concerned and look at that doo. Maybe they were afraid being outside would mess up there doo. Try again and we want more pics too. PEACE
