Congratulations, New layers are so exciting, I have 11 I'm waiting on, although they are not squatting yet. I wish they'd hurry the suspense is driving me mad lol.

I think it took my chickens closer to 30 weeks. yesterday i got my first egg from my RIR! they aren't laying in the nesting boxes. how can i encourage them to switch? I have fake wooden eggs in the nesting boxes and I can tell that they go in there

to the left are the nesting boxes that I built with a wooden egg in them, and to the right in the hay is where my Delaware decided to lay her egg... you can't even see her she made such a high nest! Lol but I bet it was warm!
