First Egg Today !!!!

We finally got our first egg today I am way excited. It is the cutest little thing ever...




This one is next to the store bought eggs we bought yesterday

Isn't that the best feeling ever? After months of waiting patiently ( ha ha )
one day you look into the nest boxes expecting the usual empty space and
then THERE IT IS IN ALL OF IT'S TINY GLORY.

This is our second flock so we feel like 'old hands at it all' - we incubated
and hatched out most of this flock from our own birds and the others we
raised from a few days of age onward.

We got our first little BR egg a few days ago and the second one today!
Finding those eggs every day never does get old - the eggs just get bigger!

Congrats! First eggs are always exciting, but that first egg EVER is extra special.

Thanks guys it was very exciting that is for sure. Now if we can only convince our 3 year old daughter that it is ok to eat it LOL
