still have 30 lbs of starter feed, can I finish it out, or must I immediatly go get some layer feed?

wooo hooo we are excited about more eggs!

You can finish it out. You can also go ahead and start mixing it with layer feed for a smooth transition. Sometimes change feed cold turkey can give them digestive problems or they get picky persnicky and turn their noses up at the new feed for a few days.

thanks again!

just for the data collectors.

brought the chicks home 4-11-2008, first egg was 8-15-2008

TOday... NO egg.

I added a couple of nest boxes into the coop yesterday, since the first egg was left on the floor.

is it normal for them to be irregular initially?!
