What an eggciting morning! DaisyMae, my lil rescue left behind at the county fair, woke up early, about 05:30 and got busy. Headed for the coop and scratched away. It took about another hour and before 7 am. She gifted me with a beautiful fresh egg. She went right back into the garden in search of worms, tomatoes and blueberries! So Proud

Well my 30 yr old daughter came running over, proudly exclaiming; “Look Momma, I got you something at the fair!” This momma figured since she went with her beau and his son, it was probably a trinket or funnel cake….wasn’t expecting a fine feathered lil friend…DaisyMae didn’t care much for me until about 3 weeks ago. Those mealworms can truly change an attitude in no time

Hi Happy Hen lover, Thanks for sharing the sentiment! It’s been awhile since Ive had a pullet! Plus I’ve never had a bluish egg. Sorta feel like a Nonna (grandma)! it’s been so much fun spending mornings with her and another lil rescue. I’m not sure what this other one is, but this one’s pretty feisty. I thought it was a quail but was told it looks more like a banty chick,
