Got my first egg from a hen I actually raised!!! and IN the nesting box, right between two golf balls! YIPPEE!!!
The hen is 4 mos., 5 days old and it was (cause I already ate it) a "large" egg. Now I am thoroughly addicted.

Thanks! You too. Sorry for the big delay between my posts and responses. I visit the site most nights (when I can kick my 13 yo off the computer!). Then I work full time and can't visit the site during work (if I still want a job) darn. [IMG]

Fantastic!!!! Isn't it so exciting to find them?!!

We've been getting them for the last couple of weeks and we still get excited when we find one. Today we got 8 eggs from 8 hens!!

Yes, it is a mini treasue hunt every day. I LOVE the chickens and find them so funny and rewarding to have around! One of my hens chases the dog around the yard. It is hysterical - I should take a video and post it on You-tube.
