first egg

    Got my first egg today a little thing My hens are almost 16 weeks old hope the others chime in to

    Congratulations!! That first one is so exciting. You may or may not get one the next day, but pretty soon, she'll be laying almost every day.

    isa browns from townline hatcheries I hav10 hens just under 16 weeks, 4 hens and 1 rooster 2 weeks younger

    I have 50 Isa Browns from Townline hatchery. They are dynamite layers. Several of mine started laying when they were 16 weeks old. I just sold my roosters. I did breed them and they don't breed true on 2nd generation but are still great layers.
