hi i only joined this group yesterday and what a fantastic site . olots of info etc.

i bought my chickens home on sunday they are approx 20wks old, and although they dont usually lay this time of year, but i just thought i would go and check my hens and there it was , one little egg sitting in the straw i was soooo excited .

i wonder if there will be another tommorow .

Congratulations on the egg and welcome to BYC. Your hens may lay a few more eggs and then stop for a while. This frequently happens as they adapt to their new home. The initial couple of eggs are those that are already in the 'assembly line'. Enjoy your flock.
