This morning, our leghorn Clara, laid the first egg! She sang a bit and settled into her final box. I noticed she was standing and there was the egg! She was such a sweety. She's 18-19 weeks old. She was loud and proud afterward! I was surprised because the pullet with the largest comb only tested out the boxes. Maybe Clara and Fiona, largest combed one, will lay tomorrow! Seems like the decoy egg worked!

Thanks! I was expecting it to be small, but I loved that it was warm and felt like a solid egg. It was funny when the second youngest girl checked out the boxes because she has a week or two.
