Rosie Emu gave me a big surprise this morning... I was looking for her , then went in her house and watched her...carefully cover her egg with Hay I made this year, and started 2 weeks earlier then last year...only laid last Egg in April this year 35 of them... what a good girl !

    Hi, thebanthams,

well, not so much 'jump' as 'wildly scramble.' Six-feet-high fences are pretty much the agreed height (and high quality -- that is, expensive . . . )

35 eggs??!! Go, Rosie Emu!! I envisage a neat row of clucky males

[miniature fuzzy black dinosaur head poking up over the living-room windowsill . . . ]

I envisage a neat row of clucky males, each sitting on his allotment of Rosie Eggs.
