first incubation is a success

about a mouth ago i bought a small incubator off ebay (only will hold around three eggs) i hadtwoeggs in it and today my first chick finally came doing great looks like its gonna be a cochin thanks to all that helped me with learning how this worked

How COOL!

I'm also working my way through my very first incubator hatch... four eggs of 7 have pipped. And nothing has happened since the pips. Of course, they didn't all pip at the same time.....

I'm sure hoping they make it out alive.

nope they were leyed by one of my black cochin hens that is now sittin on over twenty eggs this little guy is doing great runnung around with my seven silkie chicks
