First incubation results

I put some eggs to hatch for the new year. I had 8 hatch out of 28 eggs. One of the eight died. I candled the ones that didn't hatch and they were still totally undeveloped. Is this because the were infertile or did I do something totally wrong? Even though it wasn't a total success I am happy with what I got.

That's what I was thinking. I have 1 rooster and 9 hens I thought 1 rooster would be able to keep up with all the ladies. I guess it could also be the time of year. I've never hatched so it never mattered before, now I'm trying to figure it all out.

I have 9 hens and 1 rooster too!! It is fertilizing the hens... and I have opened some to see if they are fertile before I put them in the "bator". But I'm not sure the ones that I have in their will hatch because sometimes i forget to turn them some-days but, I have just made a new one so I hope that one will work for me...
