First Marans and Olive eggs!!

    Pictures are not color corrected or 'shopped in any way. Slightly cloudy, not enough direct sun to make shadows. Also, some fridge items for color reference.

    Black Copper Marans. Bayhorsebonne lines through Onthespot. Hatched July 4th, 2009 - 27 weeks old.

    Olive Eggers (Blue Ameraucana roo/Wheaten Penedesenca) from Heidi. Hatched July 4th, 2009 - 27 weeks old.

    (That is the ladies' personal salad garden, including some funky tasting edible flowers. I've never known the meaning of spoiled!)

    That is pretty good color for a first egg! I bet it will get darker. She is a pretty hen! You oughta pen her up separate with that roo for a while and get some pure cbm eggs!

    I swear, sometimes I think it's rigged! The eggs I send out hatch out better looking birds than what I keep and set at home!!! [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Love that Olive......I hope in about a month to show the first of our olive eggers as well....If this cold snap will go away, I'll get their separate pen built!!!
